To get the most burn time from your candles, they should be burned for one hour for each inch of their diameter. Keep wick trimmed to 1/4" before lighting candles; this will help ensure an even burn. Do not trim the wick to short; this will cause a poor flame and may not stay lit or burn properly. A jar candle should be burned until the top is liquefied evenly. Burning less may cause tunneling down the middle of the jar. Avoid drafts to ensure an even burn. Keep burn pool clean and free of debris. Keep candle away from heat sources such as direct sunlight. Never leave a candle unattended. Always place candles on proper stable and heat resistant surfaces and/or containers. Use proper caution when putting out flame. Stop burning candle when there is only approximately 1/2" of wax left. Never burn candle in a damaged container. Store in a cool/dry location.
